Internet High Stakes Poker- Gus Hansen

Gus Hansen had a wonderful year on the WPT where he was the only one to make it to the last table in 3 of the events. Gus Hansen has been seen on High Stakes Poker on GSN where he paid $400, 000 to play. You might remember one of the biggest pots in high stakes poker history against Daniel Negreanu. He won a large pot with quads against Negreanu’s full house. Hansen has made many televised poker appearances and is deemed to be one of the greatest players anywhere in the world. While gambling on net poker, another side of Hansen has emerged. Gus frequently competes in the 200/400 NL maximum buy-in of $40, 000. Gus frequently buys in for the min of Sixteen Thousand dollars and plays very poorly. He sits there waiting for a good hand and then pushes all-in. I accept that Hansen is a great poker player but not even close to the regular players at 200/400NL. Unless he is broke, he has no reason to play at the game with the min buy-in.

Playing for the minimum takes most of the ability out of deep stack poker. Gus is accepted to be 1 of the greatest players anywhere in the world but he cannot buy in for the full amt.. I believe television can alter our perception of the real world every now and then. The greatest poker players anywhere in the world may be players you have will not have heard of before. Gus can be seen playing net poker on Full Tilt. He commonly competes in high stakes omaha/8 and Holdem. Gus has shown himself as a competition player. Can he use his talents in money rounds?
