Poker has become globally celebrated as of late, with televised competitions and celebrity poker game events. Its popularity, though, arcs back in fact a bit further than its TV scores. Over the years several types on the original poker game have been created, including some games that are not in fact poker anymore. Caribbean stud poker is 1 of these particular games. Despite the name, Caribbean stud poker is most closely affiliated with chemin de fer than old guard poker, in that the gamblers wager against the house instead of the other players. The succeeding hands, are the established poker hands. There is no conniving or different types of boondoggle. In Caribbean stud poker, you are required to ante up before the dealer declares "No further bets." At that moment, both you and the casino and of course all of the different gamblers receive 5 cards. After you have seen your hand and the dealer’s first card, you must in turn make a call wager or surrender. The call bet’s value is equal to your beginning wager, meaning that the stakes will have doubled. Bowing out means that your ante goes immediately to the dealer. After the wager comes the face off. If the casino does not have ace/king or better, your wager is returned, with a sum in accordance with the ante. If the dealer has a hand with ace/king or better, you win if your hand is greater than the casino’s hand. The bank pays chips even with your original bet and set odds on your call wager. These odds are:
- Even for a pair or high card
- two to one for 2 pairs
- 3-1 for 3 of a kind
- four to one for a straight
- 5-1 for a flush
- seven to one for a full house
- twenty to one for a 4 of a kind
- fifty to one for a straight flush
- one hundred to one for a royal flush
